Computational imaging techniques require a substantial amount of computing power. In return they enable solutions that can be far more efficient and offer additional features compared to traditional optical systems. In the talk I give a selective overview on different computational imaging techniques ranging from image processing over optimization to deep learning. And show how the codesign of algorithms and optics can lead to powerful innovations. As an example, I discuss optical field reconstruction and emulation applied to lithography metrology.
