The measuring device based on a Twyman-Green interferometer was constructed in laboratories of Meopta - optika, s.r.o. It is used for the measurement and evaluation of flat and spherical surfaces and specific optical systems. The aim of our work was to build a machine with a relatively low price and parameters comparable to commercial products. All parts of the unit, including optical and mechanical components, were designed to be applicable to our optical production. We have also implemented a simplified version of the interferometer that is free of a piezo actuator element and using a Fourier method for evaluating a testing surface.
