Influence of longitudinal strain on polarization mode dispersion compensation by using highly birefringent fibers
- Faculty of Physics, Warsaw University of Technology
The latest experimental results on polarization mode dispersion compensation by using longitudinal strain-induced effects in highly birefringent fibers are reported. The results hold a great potential for a perspective all fiber variable-delay polarization mode dispersion compensator in telecom applications.
